Photography can be practical, but also beautiful. During my professional photography course I was instructed to pick a photographer to take artistic inspiration from. I chose Alfred Stieglitz for his key roles in the development of photography as an accepted form of fine art. Many consider and refer to him as the father of modern photography. A key detail of his work was how he played with light and shadow.
